From PB Software:Great for Kiosh applications. KeepAlive Pro has been designed to watch for all 32-bit applications. Restart or just be alerted when a program is in a non-responding state or if it has just failed. KeepAlive Pro can distinguish between a non-responding program and a failed one. Based on this fact, once KeepAlive Pro detects a non responding program, it will start to use smart logic and analyze the program status before stopping it and restarting it.
Automatically dismisses common Application error dialog boxes that prevent crashed applications from fully exiting. Version 12.0.3 added startup manager, have applications start before KeepAlive Pro, and many options.

While it can restart some crashed programs, this helpful utility had some problems of its own. KeepAlive Pro's utilitarian interface surrounds large text buttons and a small information window with numerous function icons and pull-down menus. While not quite a mess, it is cluttered. The Help manual is a collection of functions explained with little user direction.
Experienced system administrators will recognize all the components of this application, and find it easy to operate. The program adds tooltips to many areas, and does include a helpful Start Here button. Most commands are simple click and choose. Basic tools to check IP addresses, manage memory, send e-mail and SMS alerts are easy to set and information rich. There are quite a few options found in much more expensive programs in this genre.
Unfortunately, KeepAlive Pro's primary function to restart crashed executables isn't as dependable. Testers reported numerous executables that the utility could not correctly restart, configuration menus that would fail to display, and interfaces that seemed to flicker. This utility has all the makings of a very useful program for system administrators, but it needs some work. The 15-day demo gives users plenty of opportunity to see if the app lives up to its promise on their system.
