Kantaris can play almost anything you can throw at it: AVI (DivX, Xvid, H264), MPEG, MGEG-AVC, WMV, MOV, MKV, FLV, MP3, WMA, and OGG files. Kantaris can also play DVD and audio CD. The player also displays beautiful visualizations for music. Kantaris is an all new media player based on code from VideoLan Client (VLC) and Bass audio library. Kantaris has a graphical user interface that is similar with Windows Media Player.

Version 0.3.5 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

  Pros: It looks good,but not stable.It freezes while playing or when I add a video file to play.It never goes away from desktop and finally I had to end the process by applying task-manager.It should fix some bugs and improve.

  Pros: Never had an issue with any file type, and LOVE the SYNC audio feature..This has saved a couple good movies for me. Works great with Vista also:-0

  Great Basic looks awesome

  Pros: Works great and very basic. All the right hotkeys. And no opensource weirdness. :)

  Cons: GUI buttons have a few weird times. The buttons go black for a second.

  Pros: Good if it handles as good as it looks so software must be good to create this media-player.

  Cons: I don't have a bad word as yet as i haven't played the media-player yet!
