Any privacy-concerned user can easily wash away evidence of past Web-surfing activities with this application, but registry cleaning could be problematic. Internet Cleaner's compact, tabbed interface organizes all cleaning options. A single button click cleans certain Windows system areas and histories generated by Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Netscape browsers. The program supports washing many other applications, including well-known messengers such as Yahoo and AOL and peer-to-peer programs such as iMesh, Kazaa, and Morpheus. You can also easily add files or registry values in the cleaning list, but the latter needs computer expertise to forestall deleting values that could cause system instability. The file shredding tool meets government-sanctioned algorithms for permanently destroying sensitive data. This utility lacks a scheduling function, though there are simple options to set automatic cleaning. We appreciated both the accuracy of this program and quick recovery of precious disk space. Any level user will find this program helpful, while novices will especially like Internet Cleaner's ease-of-use.
