From David Watanabe: Inquisitor... it's like Spotlight for the web. Start typing and websites pop up immediately, along with ideas to refine your search. It'll autocomplete your words (is it reading your mind?) and you can add more search engines to Safari with customized keyboard shortcuts.

This little app for Safari makes Web searches easier by making the regular Google search box behave like Spotlight. Simply type in your search term and Inquisitor displays a sleek-looking list of links and search variants immediately so you can get to where you want to go quickly. It defaults to show only three results and three possible search term variants, but we were able to push each up to six in the Safari preferences under the Search Tab. You also can select whether you want Inquisitor to use Google search or Yahoo search as the default, and you can add more search engines, all from within the preferences pane. We particularly like the auto-complete feature making it easy to only type a few letters before getting possible results. If you like Spotlight for Mac OS X, this little app will greatly improve your overall search experience in Safari.

Inquisitor

almost cool

Pros: being able to see what kinds of results I am getting before i waste my time loading a Google page

Cons: search results are too truncated. this makes it hard to tell if the results are good or not

Inquisitor

A must have add-on

Pros: Inquisitor is a great little add-on for Safari. It blends seamlessly with Mac Os X interface and takes Safari one step further.

Cons: Doesn't work with Leopard and/or Safari 3.0.
