Publisher's description of Index.dat Analyzer
From Systenance Software:
Index.dat files are hidden files on your computer that contain all tracks of your online activity, where have you been on Internet, what sites you visited, list of URL-s, files and documents you recently accessed. Index.dat files stored on your computer are obviously a potential privacy threat as they can be found and viewed without your knowledge.
Index.dat Analyzer is a simple tool to view and delete the content of index.dat files that contain references to cookies, browser history and cached pages. The entries are normally not removed by simply clearing the cache in your browser. Index.dat Analyzer enables you to review those entries, and optionally delete them, or extract files to a different folder.

A Much Overlooked! But,A VERY-MUCH needed Program

Pros: Just when you think that; (all is secure) inside your PC... Yet.. still, that little something inside you keeps whispering...ie."You or your PC" really... might not be secure??? Then... here comes a program that proves that the feeling that you had of,your PC not being secure is infact,TRUTH.This program is well worth having and well worth watching as,it will show you more than you really wanted to know but, difinitely should know. concerning who is "Watching You" and who it is that is... "Tracking"...Your every move.and,... allows you, to identify the TRUTH about why you cannot completely Get-Rid of alot of compounding Spyware inside of your PC.This is a Very-Good program that allows you to see behind the Enemies-Lines. and, if utilized properly this program will do more to help you then alot of the so-called Anti-Spywares that are out-there today.I have used this program for just a short while now and it has told me more about my PC than almost all the anti-spywares could conjure-up.I recommend this program to (ALL) PC users.Well worth taking home to Mother.Just remember this; If your PC is not secure then...YOU are not Either.*Here's The Good Part...This program allows you to simple Delete your problems.A simple Three-Step aid to having not only a better running maching but, put's you in a better Frame-of-Mind.Semper-Fi.
Cons: The DeskTop icon is somewhat "FUZZY" but,who cares when you see the results it provides.Just glad its "FREE" and...hope to see updates once people realize "What A Prize They Get With This Free Tool.

Pros: Index.dat analyzer targets three cleaning locations, and here they are.
1 It will delete history and you can select how much history you want to delete, by putting check marks in the boxs on the left side and click delete.
2 It will delete cookies, and you can select which cookies you want to delete.
3 It will delete temporary internet files, and it does a fast job of deleting temporary internet files.
Cons: It will not delete locked index.dat files or recently typed urls.

Index.dat Analyzer
Fast, simple, effective and free!

Pros: I have other web washing programs, and after installing Index.dat, I realized that files were still being left behind by the other programs. Index.dat is an excellent "final check" if you use other programs, cleaning up a any traces left behind by them. I still suggest that you run at least 3 different washing programs as NONE of them remove everything. Running index.dat analyzer also helped me to discover that spyware had actually shut down my other (more well known) web washing programs. They would still scan and remove small, irrelevant files, but by running index.dat last, it showed me that nothing critical was being removed, like it used to, and that I needed to reinstall the other programs. Index.dat analyzer saved the day.
Cons: The GUI is a little plain and program operation requires more mouse clicks than it really should to get the job done, but these are only minor irritants considering the quality of it's erase capability and it's excellent price, FREE!
