InAlbum helps you turn your digital photos and video into stunning photo albums. It's fun, quick, and easy. Simply start by choosing from ready-to-use templates or custom templates, which let you combine, mix, and match background animations, buttons, photo frames, fonts, and transition effects. Decorate with animated clip art, text animation, GIF animation, speech bubbles, sounds, MP3 music, and even your own voice. You can publish a photo album as a Flash file, an AVI video file, HTML, an executable file, screensaver, or wallpaper. Burn it to CD or DVD/VCD (playable on TVs), send it to friends and family by email, or host it for free at your 100MB Personal InAlbum Web site.

Version 3 adds several key features such as video import, powerfull DVD menu editor, high quality DVD movie output, and text animation.

Despite a few minor flaws, InAlbum still stands as one of the better slide-show creators we've gotten our hands on. The program's interface is both attractive and easy to navigate. Five step-by-step tabs walk you through the process of collecting photos, selecting or designing templates, editing images, decorating the show, and adding music.

You can alter brightness and contrast, as well as choose from a boatload of effects such as fish-eye, mosaic, and twister. In our tests, the program did just fine with JPEGs and GIFs, but wouldn't accept BMPs. InAlbum lets you decorate your show with whimsical icons, such as bullhorns and Dracula teeth, and you can use either your own MP3s or the bundled audio files as a soundtrack. The latest version includes video import and DVD creation features, allowing you to mix home movies and photos.

When you're all done, you can save your creation as a screensaver, a Flash clip, HTML, or an EXE file. Due to this program's ease of use and strong feature set, we think shutterbugs of all stripes will really enjoy InAlbum.

  Pros: It's very easy way to make brilliant slide show. There are a lot of great templates. Each template has its own music, so you can use default music if you don't want to choose it especially.

  Cons: The software is rather expensive :(

  OUT OF COUNTRY NO BOXED SOFTWARE AVAILABLE

  Pros: I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE MANUFACTURE'S PRODUCTS, EXCEPT............ . I THINK THIS COMPANY WOULD SELL MILLIONS OF BOXED SOFTWARE HERE IN THE U.S.A. BUT THEY DON'T SEEM INTERESTED! GO FIGURE!

  Cons: THAT YOU CAN NOT ORDER ANY BOXED SOFTWARE FROM THEM AND THEY WON'T RESPOND TO ANY OF MY NUMEROUS EMAIL ATTEMPTS TO BUY THEIR BOXED SOFTWARE PRODUCTS HERE IN THE U.S.A. I GUESS THEY DON'T HAVE ANY RETAILERS THAT THEY TRUST HERE? SO HOW DO WE KNOW AFTER PAYING THEIR HIGH PRICES FOR DOWNLOADED SOFTWARE THAT THEY WILL STILL BE AROUND IF WE BUY A NEW P.C. OR IF LIKE MINE YOU HAVE TO RESTORE YOUR ENTIRE P.C. NUMEROUS TIMES TO FACTORY DEFAULT? NO SUPPORT ANSWERED, INQUIRIES AT SUPPORT SENT BACK AS MAILER DEMONS? WHEN YOU DO A WHOIS SEARCH THEY ARE LOCATED IN ANOTHER COUNTRY, (NOT GOOD WHEN YOU WANT TO BUY BOXED SOFTWARE)

  InAlbum Deluxe

  Great until you need to create a DVD

  Pros: I liked this software up to the point in which I had to create a DVD. Then it continually aborted through a C++ abnnormal termination message.

  Cons: Abnormal termination when trying to cut a dvd, cd, avi, everything except loading the show on the web.

  This was extremely frustrating... I am running Vista... stay away!

  Simple but rubbish

  Pros: nothing

  Cons: very slow, crashes repeatedly, limited to 100 photos, maybe there are 100 templates but they are virtually all the same!
