While working on your PC, you often do the same tasks every day, such as opening the same documents. Hot Keyboard Pro lets you create a macro to trigger these repetitive actions with a single keystroke. You can assign each macro its own hot key and schedule it to run automatically. Automated actions include opening a document, launching a program, and automatically replacing a string of symbols as you type in any Windows application. You can record and save a series of keystrokes and mouse movements and run several macros in a chain or call your own menu of macros. The program makes adding new commands a breeze. For example, you can highlight some text and press a hot key to create a new macro for any of the text-related action types. The program produced no noticeable slowdown on our PC. Also, Hot Keyboard Server lets several PCs share and exchange macros. The midrange features and ease of use make Hot Keyboard Pro suitable for power users and professionals who don't want to lay down big money for a corporate-level solution.

  It's a great program, would never use my computer without it! :D

  Problems with Hot Keyboard

  Cons: On October 29, 2007 I purchased Hot Keyboard software from RegSoft and I received notice from RegSoft that the credit card purchase had been approved and that my purchase of the Hot Keyboard product had been completed.

  RegSoft's Order Number is10292007-30992-3198. Purchase of Hot Keyboard, Tracking Number 6478266.

  However I have not received a registration code from Hot Keyboard. I have made a number of requests for the registration code but have not received any reply from Hot Keyboard.

  The Hot Keybord folks are either sound asleep or out of business.

  Simple and effective, yet not many customizable options

  Pros: Lets you add a lot of macros, password protect, and lets you access all documents, folders, etc. on your desktop by right-clicking the system tray icon (VERY handy).

  Cons: Not many customizable options ... too basic for an advanced user

  Pros: Good program, doesnt crash, definitly not the memory hog of other programs in its genre. Should really help to people in professional fields that need to acsess things over and over again.

  Cons: Windows will already allow you to do much the same thing, and its not of a whole lot of use for an average desktop user.

  Does Exactly what it's supposed to with no hassles

  Pros: My job function is part technical support and part sales, and I field literally thousands of inquiries on a daily basis. Most are answered with a combination of some stock answers and some personalized content. I also do repetitive data input. This program has made my job 100 times easier, and at the same time, has made my responses more accurate. I also like that this is a very small application, and does not slow down or crash my system or hog resources.

  Cons: I have no complaints yet about the product at all. I use primarily text pasting features.
