Publisher's description of Hide The IP
From AVSoftware:This is a Hide IP software which is used to change your real Internet address while browsing the World Wide Web. The software will deliver you fresh anonymous proxy server every time you activate the program. The main benefit of this software is that you can't be traced when browsing Websites. Also if a Website is restricted for users from specified country the program can bypass that protection. By hiding your IP you will prevent receiving Spam from marketers, which know your interests by tracking your IP when browsing Websites. You can use Web-based e-mail to send anonymous e-mail. Post on bulletin boards without displaying your real IP address.
Version 2.1.1 adds Firefox support and can change IP in Firefox dynamically. It is Windows Vista compatible.

4.0 stars
We like that you can add your own proxy list for the program to check and use. Its feature to select the originating country for your fake IP didn't list any locations in the trial version, so we had to settle for what ever it threw out. The interface shows your real IP and the new one you'll be surfing with. One click can jump you to another anonymous proxy.
As a bonus, Hide The IP has its own basic browser with minimal navigation buttons, though it is a tad slower than usual and the Stop Hiding button on the browser's toolbar doesn't work. The trial gives a tight three days, but with all of the slow, unreliable IP maskers out there, any level user will welcome this program's effectiveness.

Version: Hide The IP 2.1.1
Pros: I really like the idea that I can't be followed by ad watchers. This program has actually cut down on all the garbage that was cluddering my time and speed. Yes if I had to buy this I would.
Cons: a few things need to be improved as a few times I had to skip the web page I wanted and turn off the masker get the page and turn it back on. Thats the only thing I can find wrong.

Version: Hide The IP 2.1.1
"Very slow, bad program, trial is useless."
Pros: Well, it actually changes your IP and proxy...but thats about it.
Cons: Its very VERY slow, pages don't even load correctly, images dont fully load, youtube is out of the question, and the demo version of this is terrible. You cannot even choose what country you want, and your limited to only a few proxy changes a day. So if you get a slow connection and want to try and get a fast one, be aware you only have about 3 times to change it.
Terrible program.
