Other features include a download manager for smooth downloads, helpful automatic system-requirement checks, and secure transactions. RealArcade also includes Web-based games that run directly in your browser; and for those looking for some friendly competition, there's an online community for matching players, sharing information, and enhancing the overall gaming experience. Version 1.27 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

• "Open the portal to a world of games."

This program itself isn't a game. It's a portal leading to hundreds of excellent arcade games. Most of the games offer 60-minute trials and cost $19.95 to register. The Web Games tab lets you play free Web-based variations using a special plug-in. The program also can search your hard drive for all the games you already have, providing one-stop access to the lot. If it misses a game, you can drag and drop its shortcut onto the RealArcade window. The interface also gives you access to game reviews and message boards so you always can get cheats and tricks from the community. The program includes no adware, although ads sometimes appear in the interface for the Web games. The only downside is installing the package can take quite a while, but we think it's worth the time. We recommend RealArcade to all casual and arcade gamers.

  "Bunk"

  Pros: Not many.Just get the playnow emulator or other free one.

  Cons: Everything.If you like pc slowdowns and hard drive trouble then this is the app for you.Good luck getting it all off you pc.Another way for real networks to get richer while we get poorer(that's why were downloading freeware because most of us aint got the money to spend for some desktop fun)

  Try something else it's a scam.

  "SPYWARE ADWARE - users beware!!!!!"

  Pros: The games were decent.

  Cons: I have spent hours trying to uninstall the spyware associated with this site. I have sent numerous e-mail to RealArcade, but of course with no response. Tells me they know about this and are probably the ones responsible for it. Download at your own risk.

  "Total Waste of Disk Space"

  Pros: Absolutely None....

  Cons: They flash you a bunch of games that look like fun. But, you only get the shareware version of all of the games they feature, which you can get on any game site on the Internet (including this one), so what is the use of the software? Plus, they don't even give you full control of the game once you've downloaded it. It's basically a bunch of adware.

  "This is the worst scam I've seen for a game download"

  Pros: scamming you, alright! It's a pro at that.

  Cons: This 'game' loads a webpage, like you couldn't use your browser on your own.
