Publisher's description of HP DeskWriter 500 Series Driver

From Hewlett-Packard:

This driver updater supports the ColorSync color matching system extension in System 7.0.1 for the HP DeskWriter C, DeskWriter 540 with Color Kit, 550C, and 560C printers. If you are using System 6 or System 7.0, the ColorSync selection in the Color Matching field of the Options dialog box will be disabled. Refer to the readme file for information on other enhancements in this version.

Version: HP DeskWriter 500 Series Driver 6.0.4

"Deskwriter 560C is an orphan"

Summary: This driver is out of date. My printer still works well but HP does not want to support it anymore. For example, I can't print Netscape documents with it since upgrading to Mac OS 9.
