Publisher's description of GuerrillaBrowser
From GuerrillaBrowser:GuerrillaBrowser gives you a safer alternative for surfing the Web. Unlike full-featured conventional browsers, which are fine and even necessary for enjoying the benign Internet, GuerrillaBrowser protects you on the untrusted Internet by giving you direct control over your interaction with web servers and by presenting the smallest possible target to potentially malicious web sites. The downloadable archive file also includes the GuerrillaViewer and DeChunk companion programs.
Version 1.5 adds the Open Batch feature and a Find dialog.

Editor's review of GuerrillaBrowser
A suite of programs for the very careful surfer, GuerrillaBrowser's complicated approach isn't for the novice. GuerrillaBrowser's interface is a set of three programs chock full of menu commands and hot keys over very sparse results windows. You'll use this suite not to surf but to pick apart a Web site.
The primary program is GuerrillaBrowser, a Web browser designed not to make surfing easy but to prevent most sites from sending you malicious code. It succeeds on both counts. You'll need to spend a few minutes reading this program's tutorial or you won't use it. Commands are easily invoked with hot keys, but the process isn't simple. Instead of displaying sites as intended, this program loads URLs to select items on the site and displays the occasional thumbnail. You'll spend time loading Web sites, scanning their structures, and using GuerrillaBrowser to display found images.
GuerrillaViewer displays the images found and saved to your hard drive. You'll use it often, as GuerrillaBrowser can efficiently grab sets of images from most sites. The final program in the suite, DeChunk, displays a hexadecimal dump of any file's header. If you don't know the need for that, this suite isn't for you. If you need or want to play with potentially malicious Web sites, this suite is for you.
