From GreenPrint Technologies: GreenPrint World is a free version of GreenPrint software for home users worldwide. GreenPrint solves a problem nearly every computer user has experienced: The wasteful pages that seem only to appear after a document has been printed (for example, pages with just a URL, banner ad, legal jargon, or a run-over Excel column). GreenPrint does this by analyzing the document and then highlighting and removing unnecessary pages. GreenPrint also incorporates an easy to use PDF writer, a print preview called GreenView, and a reporting feature, which keeps track of the number of pages, trees, and money saved. Version 1.0.1 is a bug fixing release.

Make mincemeat of extraneous printouts GreenPrint World is a free Windows utility that helps eliminate wasted pages while printing. The download and installation were painless, producing a bright interface that pops up each time you click to print. GreenPrint highlights content you're unlikely to want committed to paper, like that dreaded banner ad that prints an extra sheet of paper when printing from the Web. With a single click, that page is gone. In addition, GreenPrint lets you block images and ads to save on ink and paper. The app also displays a running tally of pages and greenhouse gas emissions you can save through regular use. We found this tool simple and efficient.

  Great idea, could better execution though

  Pros: Great way to save paper and ink, and maybe help out the enviroment a bit. Especially on the paper side.

  Cons: Slow to print. Pain when trying to print photos.

  This would be a far better if it were a brower extension that allowed you to highlight multiple areas of a page, and then just print what you want to print.

  Not bad but...

  Pros: It helps to see in advance what will be on the last page

  Cons: This is supposed to save money but will not print on both sides with a Samsung CLP-510? You can achive better result by highlighting the portion you want to print.

  Pros: really saves on ink by excluding useless frames when printing webpages. less ink, less paper, less trash!
