From GoldWave: GoldWave is a professional digital audio editor. Use it to play, edit, mix, and analyze audio, or apply special effects, such as fade, equalizer, echo, reverse, time warp, noise reduction, silence reduction, pop/click filter. New files can be recorded from cassettes, albums, radio, or digitally copied from audio CDs. Real-time visuals are displayed during playback and recording. Supports MP3, M4A, WAV, WMA, OGG, and many more formats. Includes built-in tools, such as Batch Processing, CD Reader, File Merger, and Effect Chain Editor. Version 5.23 added new filter effect, keyboard configuration and navigation, marker preview, variable silence reduction, accessibility help, plus many other improvements and fixes.

  Great for beginners & newbies & professionals

  Pros: Has all the bells & whistles to do a really great audio edit. The manual (online) is an education all by itself. The smart trial of 1500 edits lets you play, make mistakes, try all the stuff that's there over many months (it took me 8 months of trial & error) before you buy it. The price is reasonable too. Couldn't find any bugs or annoying stuff either during that time.

  Easy To Use As Long As You Know To Drag, Copy & Paste

  Pros: Though i'm using this program simply just to edit Justin Timberlake's album so I make 'My Love' like the video version I may use this program again. The best thing about the program is the fact i just have to choose where i want a part of the song to end then drag what part i want to move, cut, paste then see if it works right and if it doesn't just hit undo

  Cons: Um... They want you to pay for the full thing... only problem i see lol

  Pros: I used this program a lot at church for recording various things. It works very well and the recordings are very clear. It will even run on crappier computers than it says it will.

  Cons: It isn't free :(

  Pros: I used the software for audio editing and it is really great. I especially like the batch editing feature.

  Cons: Not many options for OGG encoding (e.g. no constant bit rate selectable)
