Pros: It is faster then the original Sun Openoffice.
Cons: I do not like that big icons!

if you want to default to the SMALL icons:
Tools > Options > View > Icon Size and Style (Large and Automatic is the preset)
I base my decision on productivity rather than aesthetics. but hey, I still get to change it to my liking.
