Publisher's description of Gmail Space 0.3.2
From Gspace:This extension allows you to use your Gmail Space (2 GB) for file storage. It acts as a remote machine. You can transfer files between your hard drive and Gmail. This is similar to "Gmail Drive" on windows platform. Your Gmail account looks like a FTP host and you can upload and download your files. After you install, you get an option called "GSpace" in your "tools" menu clicking on which opens the window for transfer of files/folders.
Version 0.3.2 adds Cut/Copy/Paste/Rename Options to the remote (gmail) file system, SendTo option which enables you to send files to your friends, "Image Panel" using which you can see the "images" directly without downloading, improves the interface by adding file properties, and improves the stability.

- "Turn Gmail into Gspace"
Gspace is a Firefox extension that takes the small pile of gigabytes that the Google folks give you for your Gmail account and turns them into a drive with storage and music-playing capabilities.
Accessible via a toolbar button or from the menu bar, the extension opens a new tab with an FTP-style interface. You can transfer files by highlighting them and hitting the directional arrow. Drag and drop is not available, but the plug-in is still replete with goodies. Uploading a file sends an e-mail with it attached to your Gmail. By creating an appropriate filter and folder, it can be quite easy to keep track of the files you've uploaded. Deleting the file from Gspace deletes the e-mail.
Gspace also allows users to switch between different Gmail accounts, has an Inbox button so you can quickly jump back to the standard Gmail interface, and supports different uses of the virtual drive. These include a Music mode, which can be used with a Flash music player to create a Web-based MP3 player, and a Photo mode, which can be used for displaying photos--although it didn't work for us.
Additional features include help buttons and a status bar that tells you which account you're using and the amount of space used. Gspace also can show you files uploaded with GMail Drive, a similar program, although those files aren't accessible from Gspace. Highly recommended.

Pros: It has the capability to store data on yoru GMail account.
Cons: Storing lots of data can crash and overload the GMail account. Moreover, this is unacceptable in the GMail ToS.

Version: Gmail Space 0.3.2
Pros: Excellent program layout. Very simple to transfer files to Gmail space.
Cons: Had to figure out installation myself. If your not extremely familiar with where all the Firefox functions are then istallation would probably be impossible. Instructions for installation are very much needed.
A quick HINT: In Firefox open the "File" dropdown and click on "Install Extensions".

Version: Gmail Space 0.3.2
"Simple and efficient program"
Pros: After downloading this program, you can plug-in and run it (GSpace) in Fairfox from "TOOL" item. It is quite simple and small but efficient to upload your files onto your internet storage created by your Gmail account and then download them to another computer which linked to the Gamil account.
Cons: Lack of explanation for how to install this program.
