MU is a full on 3D MMORPG that is the first of its kind. MU is a highly involved fantasy Role Playing Game based on the legendary Continent of MU. You are given the choice of selecting between one of four classes, Dark Knight, Fairy Elf, Dark Wizard and Magic Gladiator, and become a daring adventurer in the quest to save the land of MU. Version 1.02a may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Note: This is a very large (366MB) file and may take several hours to download via dial-up modem.

In the aftermath of the Lord of the Rings movies, the fantasy genre has been given a second life. Weaving adventure threads into a pseudo-medieval tapestry is a staple of the elfnorc world, and MU gives it to you on a no-frills platter.

You start off as a Dark Wizard, a Dark Knight or a Fairy Elf, with accordant strengths and weaknesses. You can save different base characters, a fun feature that allows you to begin play as a wizard, and later, restart and switch to a knight--but not both at the same time. The look of your character changes to reflect any new accoutrements you get, including wings and spells. There's also a coordinate system on display, so it's easier to move around the elaborate MU world.

Items can be combined in many different ways, but more game experience gets you better gear. You can even fight other players, but be warned: if you kill too many innocents, you'll be branded a murderer.

Frustratingly, MU has the same poorly-documented installation process that plagues most MMORPGs. Worse, the game's servers were hesitant and sluggish when we played, interfering with the flow of play. Once, it even got us killed!

MU is lacking in too many areas to make it worth the download to all but the most die-hard fans of the genre, considering that there are better free fantasy games out there.

  lol, can this be considered a MMO, this thing is junk

  Pros: are you kidding me

  Cons: this thing is a complete dump, blow up the server and do somethin useful with all the space your are wasting on mantatinin this crap running

  Pros: was fun till players used botts to steal everything from other players---

  Cons: MU dont care about the players---if someone steals bye using a bot or hach--they try blamming u for using a bot---which is crap---theres alot of people playing the game that are using bots and hacks---about 90% of them use 1 or another--

  they also have a ticket system--which if someone is doing a hack like-"stealing"--they wont do anything about it--yes--seen the same person who stole from me playing and still is--Many people are quiting the game while "Noobs" find it fun 4 ahwile------my suggestion---dont waist your time playing--

  great game with a alot of annoying cons

  Pros: This game is really fun, It is just like runescape but with better visuals, and a lot more weapons. The music is nice a the sounds are clear. No clink or clank noises! My favorite pro is that this game worked fine without lagging on my dial up.

  Cons: 1. There is a level cap of level 60 (for free players). which is really easy to get to.

  2. Not much atmosphere in the game, meaning no one talks

  3. Quests do not give you much direction.... (EXAMPLE)..... Kill witch king

  4. I don't like the map system of have a like 20 tiny worlds you teleport to that you could go from one side of the map to another in about a minute or two.

  BOTTOM LINE. Runescape (sadly) is a better game then this.

  Don't bother playing!

  Pros: nothingggggg

  Cons: this game is not for free players. all they want is your money. don't waste ur time downloading it. i tried it but never got the chance to play it because it said my subscription expired or something. i give it no stars

  Don't even bother with it

  Pros: The graphics looked pretty cool. Unfortunately,I will never know since I never got to play it.

  Cons: The main problem I had with this game was registering. I tried signing up but it wouldn't let me. I went back and changed my personal info,thinking that would help. It didn't. No matter what I did,I kept getting this irritating message saying to go and check my personal info. I even tried to report the problem on their website,but I couldn't even do that because I wasn't a registered member. If you have a choice between Global MU and any other game,pick the other game.
