Reunion is a genealogy software program a family tree program for the Macintosh. Reunion received the highest rating for genealogy software in MacWorld, MacAddict, and Mac Home Journal magazines. Reunion helps you to document, store, and display information about your family your ancestors, descendants, and cousins. It records names, dates, places, facts, plenty of notes, sources of information, pictures, sounds, and videos. It shows family relationships in an elegant, graphic form people and families are linked in an easy-to-understand fashion. Reunion makes it easy to publish your family tree information even if you want to share it on the Web.

You can automatically create common genealogy reports, charts, and forms, as well as birthday calendars, mailing lists, questionnaires, indexes, and other lists. Reunion even calculates relationships, ages, life expectancies, and statistics. Reunion also creates large, high-resolution, graphic charts allowing complete on-screen editing of boxes, lines, fonts, and colors. Wall charts are one of its specialties. Version 9.07 includes unspecified updates.

Reunion is a popular, Mac-only genealogy program that can help you organize, view, and show off your family tree. Of the many genealogy options out there, Reunion tends toward the higher end, but it comes with many extras--and boasts a long, stable track record--to justify its price. This app comes with much of the functionality you might expect, making it easy to quickly add family members (with predictive text), fill out notes and various data fields, cite source documentation, quickly perform searches, import data from other programs (essentially, from any app that uses GEDCOM files), and even run customized lists and reports. Where Reunion really shines is in its cool extras, like support for a variety of media (including pictures, movies, and audio), quick calculators for dates and relationships, and slick output options for Web pages and even iPods. Reunion is also designed with family reunions in mind, helping you set event reminders, create mail-merge files, and generate large, attractive family trees for printing.
