Browse installed and uninstalled TrueType fonts, viewing sample text, individual characters, and detailed font information. Easy font-management functions let you install, uninstall, print, copy, or delete any number of fonts at once. You can even store your own notes with them, filter them according to type (serif, sans serif, and so on), and group them into collections for convenience. This version lets you choose your font colors, set up drop-down lists of standard text samples, rename font files to avoid conflicts, and load fonts temporarily for use without installing them.

This traditional font browser has a few advanced features that make it a worthy download for designers with large collections of fonts. Upon installation, The Font Thing automatically finds all fonts located on your computer and puts them in a chart for better organization. Next to each entry in the chart is a sentence written in that particular font, enlarged versions of each letter in the alphabet, and detailed information on the font. It is easy to add and remove fonts from this list quickly; organizing and renaming fonts in a collection also is straightforward. We do have one gripe: The Font Thing does not synchronize with other programs, such as image editors. But did we mention that it's free?

"Excellent utility"

Pros: Neat, easy to use font browser and manager. Very easy to choose, install, uninstall and compare fonts. You can even choose your own sample text, and enlarge any character to examine it in detail. The file handling side works flawlessly - fonts can be installed from portable media, or from download locations, uninstalled, and deleted, with the minimum of fuss.

Cons: What's to dislike? It's even free...

"Great for viewing all your fonts."

Pros: I recommend this software to all people who have a lot of fonts on their computer. You can view the name of your fonts and how they look and select the ones you want to install into your fonts folder. Great for fonts you downloaded or the ones that didn't come already installed.

Pros: ive been looking for such softwares for years...but one time , by accident , i want into this site and got amazed , i fouand this program, it changed my whole life , now i got promoted in my job 2wice.

"Just what I was looking for..."

Pros: I have been looking everywhere for a program that will display fonts in a list like this. I am a graphic designer and have over 1000 fonts, to look through them all to find the one I want was aweful. This program was just what I was looking for. Thank you!!!

"Great, simple font browser, simplifies the search for an appropriate font."

Pros: Able to preview fonts in the text and size of your choice, with multiple font types at once. You can also quickly look at all characters of a particular font, with their keys and shortcuts.
Simple and easy interface, this is good as multiple fonts create a lot of clutter so no fancy interface is necessary.

Cons: If you have a font archive that's fairly huge - say, a couple of thousand, I wouldn't recommend this program. Because, when you open TFT up, it automatically creates a list of all available fonts and their previews, which can easily crash the program if it's crunching through thousands. With smaller amounts though, this is an excellent tool.
