This nifty little program lets you give yourself or others a virtual makeover, although results tend to vary. Virtual Hairstyle has a well-organized, modern, skinnable interface with self-explanatory icons bordering the work area. After importing a photo, you can modify your subject's hairstyle, facial hair, jewelry, glasses, eyebrows, and lips, choosing from a number of built-in objects. You can easily resize and change the colors of the new cosmetic elements, but don't expect them to be a perfect fit for every image you try out. Deleting an ill-advised hairdo is a simple matter of right-clicking in that area of the picture and picking the appropriate option. In some tests, the program ran just fine, but on some older test systems, we experienced slowdowns. It's also kind of a shame this trial version won't let you save, print, or export your creations. If you want to try out a new look without committing to a real change, you'll enjoy Virtual Hairstyle.
