It didn't make any difference for ma.
Pros: I have a 6.0 DSL connection and use "Firefox" as my default browser. I didn't notice ant difference with "firetune" then without it. Maybe it didn't work for me because of my high speed connection, because I'm using "Vista" or both. I would like to chime in and say there is no spyware in this application as another comment claimed. When I had a slower connection it did help.

it does work
Pros: if have had this for 5 days now, im on a dail up connection, wich has its slow times after 5pm and its not so slow times 1am -5pm..
this has speeded things up slightly for the slow times so i will be keeping it.
it is so easy to set up install its unreal.
make sure you create save point before you run it just in case..
Cons: these sort of speed up things tend to work better if you have a better connection speed in the first place.

Definite improvement...
Pros: Firefox program start and page loading both noticeably improved on fast ADSL connection.
FireTune is incredibly easy to install and set up - "one-click optimising" is just what it says! I like the fact that FireTune only runs on initial optimisation - there is no drain on system resources, and no extra extension - unlike its major rival - to bog Firefox down.
Cons: No drawbacks whatever that I am aware of.
