This program can restore accidentally deleted files, though its trial limitation and its inability to recover files from formatted storage media reduce its appeal. FinalRecovery offers a fairly straightforward interface with clear icon buttons and header menus. The program scans deleted files from fixed disks and removable media like floppy disks and CDs, and we are impressed with its speedy performance. Found files are neatly arranged in folders in a tree list, making it easier to find the files you want. A simple search tool is included, allowing you to find files by name or by extension. We like that the program can display information about recovered files like name, type, and size, as well as the recovery chance status. Unfortunately, FinalRecovery fails to recover files from a formatted hard drive. As with many such programs, it can only restore files under 64kb. With freeware programs that cover the same ground, there's little reason to spend your hard-earned cash on FinalRecovery.

"Took 10 minutes to restore all 3000 files in a win XP poor installation locked folder!"

Pros: Worked right out of the box; don't even need to read the manual since it's so intuitive! I can't believe that I was able to get my mission-critical office files back so quickly. 5 stars!

"May or May not work"

Cons: Trial limited to 64K and I hardly could find two deleted files below limit. They were not successfuly recoverd. Grid lines hide the list when using scrollbar. Also keeps bugging for Scan32 in case of folders.

"Don't work with HD's with bad sectors"

Pros: Rapid.

Cons: If you have a hard drive that have some bad sectors this program don't work.
