With options to customize and a comprehensive user guide, this easy-to-use RSS feed reader offers features that will be please both novice and experienced users.
FeedGhost features a stylish interface with very appealing configurability. We could select from a variety of skins, and we liked the ability to configure the interface as either a three-pane, email-client format or as a continuous thread of stories. The tabbed pane for switching among opened feeds article lists was also very handy. The array of buttons in the toolbar might intimidate novice users, but the tutorial that opens on initial launch explains their use, and mastery follows quickly thereafter.
We were pleased at how quickly FeedGhost responded in all our tests. In addition, we liked that we could import our existing OPML feeds from another client or rely on this applications preloaded list of feeds in a number of popular categories. Adding feeds was simple, too. Clicking article links opened the source site in our default browser rather than in Internet Explorer, avoiding a problem we've had with other readers who force the use of IE.
The trial may seem short to some users, but its generous enough to determine whether you might want to purchase FeedGhost. The cost might seem a little pricey in a world full of free readers, but some users will be willing to pay for this apps extras and its ease of use.
