Purpose of File: The Fujifilm 1GB xD-Picture Card Type M utilizes Multi Level Cell (MLC) architecture, a new high- density flash memory technology. This advances the technology introduced in traditional xD-Picture Cards to provide a convenient aftermarket product for next generation cameras. The 1GB xD-Picture Card Type M architecture was chosen to take advantage of next generation camera characteristics, and are completely compatible with all 2005 models of Fujifilm digital cameras.

"Good but be careful installing"

Pros: -Easy to use when you read the instructions
-very helpful

Cons: -have to be really careful installing because it could wreck your camera

Version: Fuji FinePix A340 firmware 1.22

"Install sounds scary, but read the instructions and take your time, it works."

Pros: Firmware update worked, and now camera works with 1GB SD card. The real trick is to format your smaller SD card and copy the *.dat file to it. Then follow the instructions and it works. The firmware will be updated and the 1GB SD card will work. If you try to format and copy the file to the new 1GB SD card it will fail the install.. I tried this several times before putting the old 16MB card in and formatting it. Happy for the update to the firmware.

Cons: The install instructions might have been more clear about which SD card the firmware update file should have been copied too.

"I can't get it to work"

Pros: so far I don't like it. I've been trying for hours to get this to work.

Cons: There are no trouble shooting guidelines, help tips. Not user friendly.
