Pros: Free. The quality better then others quasy free I have already try. Very easy to use.
Thanks to the autor.Cons: I'd prefer to record my conversation by Scype without switching microfone and mixer

"How to record from a radio/cassette deck to a laptop?"
Pros: Was able to record through voice input (microphone on the laptop). Easy and helpful
Cons: Couldn't figure out how to record from a radio/cassette deck to the laptop. I connected the AUX ports behind the radio/cassette deck to the various jacks on the laptop (headphone, microphone, etc.). Any one with some ideas? Thanks!

"Does what it says on the box (but see 'cons')"
Pros: Does what it says in a very intuitive format, it's definitely a step up from windows sound recorder.
Cons: It installed a 30 day trial of "cool record edit pro" without asking [if it did ask it was very discreetly done, I always watch for hidden toolbars etc]. As far as I can see there's no way to remove just that once the demo period expires.
Summary: 2 stars. Would have gotten 5 if it wasn't for the unsolicited demo. I may have given 3 if they were fully honest about it in the description. It would be excellent as a freeware program but as it is it's just cluttering my desktop.

"Not very versatile and glitched a lot"
Pros: Fairly easy to use if your computer is set up to use it.
Cons: Not enough control over recording qualities and it glitched a lot.
Summary: I was downloading just the sound portions of Youtube videos and the track glitched and skipped a lot in the Free Sound Recorder file generated. The file sounded fine when recording but the end result was useless. I was not out of buffering or any ot... read more >>
