Excel Compare is a tool that allows you to compare Excel files, Excel spreadsheets, and selected ranges of sheets. Excel Compare compares data straight from your worksheets and presents the results on a new Excel sheet as a publication-quality report (difference report) that is ready to print or save. The report displays the added, deleted, and changed data. Use this tool for analyzing the changes made.

Pros: Flashing progress bars makes it look like it is doing something. Takes a while to run. Only shows some of the comparison results. The output format may or may not work for you.
Cons: As they say in the results "Note: the evaluation copy does not present all results on the report" makes evaluating if the product works or not impossible. The evaluation output presumably gives a hint on what the output would look like if it actually worked. But since you cannot test it, you cannot determine if it works until after they have your $$$$.

"One of those little tools I can't do without"
Pros: If you're bad about documenting revisions between excel files, like I am, than this is for you.
Cons: Merge/synchronize feature would be nice.

Summary: does it, but hard to concentrate on the differences. I prefer a side-by-side, with strikeout and add fonts.
