From Reallusion: Effect3D Studio provides designers of all levels the ability to create professional-looking 3D animated graphics. A real-time 3D preview window provides a WYSIWYG editing environment. To add effects to your project, drag-and-drop from the hundreds of backgrounds, 3D objects, rendering effects, material settings, and lighting and animation effects available from the content galleries, plus manually adjust various settings and parameters to achieve your desired effect. The 3D Text tool allows you to create your own 3D objects just by typing in text, or you can use the Import 3D Object function to import any 3D object created in the popular 3DS format.

If you have the system resources to spare, Effect3D Studio does a good job of bringing flat images into the third dimension. A huge number of GIF-format files come with the program, so allow plenty of time and disk space for installation. A variety of effects can be applied to the program's sample images or those you've created, including rendering, and animation, lighting. It's easy to preview and undo effects. Memory resources do get taxed, and performance can be slow. Given that, we wouldn't recommend this program for hobbyists, but digital artists will find much to appreciate in Effect3D Studio.

  Fun product that's easy to use

  Pros: If you have no idea how to create and render a 3D object for animation, this product is great. The trial version gives plenty of opportunity to generate some really impressive stuff for your web or just for fun. In conjunction with ULead GIF animator you can cut and splice GIFs to create really stunning transitions between different objects as well. Altogether a really professional piece of software, but ....

  Cons: Here's the bad news. I bought the full version through a company called Element 5. I received a serial number which you use to register the product and access the additional objects. But it says the serial number has already been registered! It has been 7 days since I requested assistance with this, and even a call to Reallusion's phone support has yielded nothing. Element 5 have washed their hands of it as well. I have asked for a full refund, which is a shame as it is good software.
