Version: EasyRecovery Professional 6.04
"Everything else was a waste of my time by comparison"
Pros: I had 2 drives from a RAID 0 array that had their partition tables/MBR/MFT wiped. The array had been a Windows 2000 dynamic disk with 7 partitions, most of then extended many times. After the "accident" Windows saw the whole array as unalocated space and using other recovery tools, even ones supporting RAID and dynamic volumes, the best I was able to do was recover the system partition (I assume because the partition had been created when still a basic disk...?). Easy Recovery just finished restoring 120GB of my data which was done via the Raw scan. Insofar as their money back guarantee and support - OnTrack is one of the most respected (if not the most) Data Recovery organizations. They are used by Fortune 500 and 100 companies (mine included) and I don't think they are trying to lay a con on anyone or trick anyone out of their money. P.S. - Easy Recovery's scan took 45 minutes while all other software ranged between 17 hours and 4 days - and those others didn't find 5% as much
Cons: Too expensive to the point where I feel they care about people as much as Marie Antoinette did when she said "Let them eat cake". The software is worth it but this version should also be freeware for personal use (and fully functioning). I doubt they have many customers who fall into the personal use category so the revenue loss would probably be insignifigant. I think if you have something that can do so much good you have a responsibility to make it available to everyone (no, not hack the planet, more like healthcare for everyone).
email me at nick.staff@comcast.net if you have any questions. Thanks.

"EasyRecovery Pro worked when nothing else would."
Pros: After a major screw up on my part, I downloaded, installed, and tried 8 different file recovery programs. I started to lose sleep because none of the programs could recover my digital photos.
I tried EasyRecovery Pro and I was able to recover everything.
Keep in mind that it was successful after a hard drive crash, reformat from FAT32 to NTFS, and a reinstall of the operating system.
Cons: Price
But here's a tip...if you go to the McAfee website, they sell a 1 year subscription for around $99. It isn't prominently displayed on their site, but if you hunt around you can find it. Or use a Google search with a site: option (use McAfee's site URL).
