  It's been long overdue!

  Pros: Excellent yet simple security suite. Re-designed GUI has addressed my past issues with NOD32. It works like all suites should. Fast, light and effective. This is an excellent choice or Vista users as well as XP users.

  Cons: It's rather expensive and the suite isn't available where I do my on line software shopping. None the less, I'm happy I came off the cash to buy a 2 user license.

  Perect for me but not for everyone.

  Pros: Excellent virus and trojan detection, decent spyware detection. Light on the system which makes it a good choice for Vista users. I have it on one Vista Home Premium and one Windows XP Pro SP-2 drives and Mcafee on the shared desktop in our home with no children still here. Re-designed user interface ia great and simple to use, Firewall is configurable but needs more options like a slide button for different levels of security. Interactive mode works fine for me. It asks lots of questions but remembers your answer's.. It flashes a red highlighted pain on an inbound detection then it's up to you. I gave up Kaspersky woth almost 9 months left on the subscription for this suite on Vista and have not been let down once. I use Norton Ghost to clone all our systems and it picked up and guided me thru creating a recovery disk that includes ESET's drivers.

  Cons: No parental controls. No identity theft protection. If you have kids and need a suite with all the fancy features get McAfee, Norton or Trend Micro. But, Trend Micro 2008 sucks. Expensive for a single user license, add $10 bucks for the 2nd. Thats what I did.

  Pros: Not only is it light on system resources but it does a great job on stopping the bad boys.

  Cons: With this program there is nothing to dislike, that is unless you like to dislike...

  no more kaspersky

  Pros: i dumped kasperskys for this and i also have several months of the subscription left. eset actually lets your computer breath and work like it's suppose to. all security programs should work like this. doesn't have a bunch of naggy garbage pop ups, even when i'm setting up the firewall i wasn't nagged to death like zone alarm or comodo. that krap got old real quick. i use to scan all the time, but with eset smart security i finally quit doing it as often because nothing ever showed up.

  Pros: The new suit by ESET is a nice product. I guess they got it. The new interface both in the suite and AV is vastly improved and it's now easy to use. Solid virus rating at a tad under 98%. The scan and guard are both light on a system which is a big plus with Vista. Great tech support and it's an American company.

  Cons: Expensive! No data theft protection or parental controls. I still like it on my Vista system. I have all sensitive data on a password protected external hard drive and no children living at home.
