• DAILY POPUP SPAM A DEAL BREAKER

  This software quickly found & downloaded the driver for a cheap generic USB wireless NIC I had which was awesome but.......

  Cons

  DAILY POPUP SPAM A DEAL BREAKER. If you have the free version you get a daily popup window harassing you to purchase the paid version. UNACCEPTABLE! The free version WILL ONLY UPDATE TWO DRIVERS PER DAY.

  Summary

  I will probably uninstall this program in a week or two after updating all my driver files.

  Pros

  Two free drivers every day. Limited to decent amount of free drivers per month.

  Cons

  Discount registration message on bottom right side of the screen can constantly pop out which may be annoying in some cases sadly.

  Summary

  DriverMax is great program to update your drivers, on top of that it's also absolutely free as long as you can live with 2 drivers per day, if you can't though, i recommend you to buy it to support developers

  Restrictions to free updates verssi program. Sometimes very slow drivers download. There is no Russian language.

• This program has a easy and simple interface for all.

  Pros

  The software scans all drivers and checks to see if there are any good current updates for them and notifies you about them and just to mention how easy the interface is anyone can use it and I definitely recommend buying pro which I do not have but wish to have.

  Cons

  Some of the constant spam of notifications "These drivers need to be updated" or the "40% off pro" do get in the way sometimes but I'm sure there is a way to stop them I just haven't done it yet, but otherwise there are no really bad cons you have to worry about.

  One need not care about the drivers, at least this is stated by the manufacturer. Indeed, tghis is true but with rather many exceptions (read the other reviews).

  Cons

  It updates some drivers in such a way that the device stops working (my mouse). Sometimes (but only sometimes) it recognizes the situatiom amd gets the old driver back (my keyboard) but it does not stop trying to update to the bad driver. To update my NVIDIA video driver I went to the NVIDIA web pages to get a working driver eventually as the driver installed by DriverMax did not work.

  Summary

  Not recommendable but I still have not uninstall it as I have no better alternative at this moment. Anyway, if something works (driver) why to update it?

  Occasionally and by accident, this app (DriverMax) can upgrade a few drivers.

  Cons

  DriverMax can lead you to a trap. In my case, I excepted to upgrade the default Bluetooth driver of Microsoft. So I installed the Bluetooth driver of Bluesoleil, which BT Driver had been by DriverMax introduced. After the installation Bluesoleil's BT driver I was surprised. A " warning " window of Bluesoleil opened and I was informed, that I had to pay during the next 30 days. After the uninstallation of Bluesoleil's BT driver I realized, that I couldn't use again the default Bluetooth module of my OS. The same problem you can face, if you download the Bluesoleil's BT driver from any web page.

  Summary

  After that, I can't understand, how is possible DriverMax to get four stars to five!

  I wish I had some good things to say about this. It gave me some false hope. I guess THAT'S something.

  Cons

  DriverMax loaded some bad updates. I had to do a Windows recovery to reset me video driver. (Try doing THAT when your display is jacked up.) When I tried to uninstall DriverMax, it simply would not go away. It kept coming back with little reminders to reinstall it. I Googled this program to find how to uninstall it. I found MULTIPLE references describing DriverMax more like MALWARE than helpful software. But my BIG question is: why does the Download Editors' Rating give this questionable software 4.5 STARS?!!

  PASS on this one. Run away!

  Listed my gamer mouse 3 times for exact same update that I already had. Clicked on one update as a test. It was video related but have never heard of before (that is very bad). Blue screen of death, restarted to new blue screen of death. Win 7 auto recover took over and restored old reg. values. Have not seen anything this bad in about 10 years

  I signed up with them for one month. Three months later they automatically renewed me and started charging my credit card 9.90 per month. (So there was some option somewhere that I didn't see for an automatic renewal scam on their web site. I didn't notice the charges till 10 months later.

  Summary

  Call me stupid for not checking every charge on my credit card for ten months. But they prey on stupid people like me, by automatically checking off an automatic renewal option when you sign up. And the Credid card company would not contest the charges. I won't even bother to explain why...
