From Beastie It: A-Dock is similar to the Dock in Mac OS X. It acts as an application switcher and an application launcher. The A-Dock is separated into three zones: your favorite applications (left); the other applications running on your computer (middle); and the Trash (right). You can also minimize A-Dock to a small bar to save space on your screen. This bar pops out automatically when you move the mouse over it and minimizes when you move the mouse away from it.
