A Well Presented Campaign

Pros: One of the parties responsible for FPS as a whole, Doom is like a history class. A freakin' fraggin' butt whoopin' fun fest of a history class. It moves nice and smooth, even though the graphics don't look up to snuff.

Cons: You only have about a third of Doom as a whole, and this demo let you know it.

Pros: This game is fun to play and will have you hooked in minutes if you like first person shooters. The game will scare the ***** out of you if you fear demonic creatures! Plays extremely smoothly.

Cons: It does lag online if you are in a game with over 15 people. Requires DirectX 8.0

or higher. Too short of a game.

Freaking awesome

Pros: Doom is the first real FPS, and has shown everyone the endless possibilities of that gaming genre. Doom ranks as high, if not higher, than Half Life on the rank of games that have influenced us forever.

Aw forget that. Just download and gib some zombies!

Cons: Bad graphics for our time period, but still pretty good with some mods.

Doom

Fun but old.

Pros: The game is a classic. The lousy graphics, cheesy sound, and weak a.i. just reek of nostalgia. Admittedly, the lack of 3-d look and tough-to-control interface can be a pain, but it's a fun, fast play and worth a couple of MB and hours.

Cons: -lousy graphics (duh- it runs on DOS)

-cheesy sound

-weak a.i.

-no 3-d- look (i.e. you can't move your gun up and down)

-finicky interface.
