This program lets divers record all sorts of information about each dive, from the name of a dive buddy to the purpose of the trip. With Dive Time, you can quickly fill in forms and check boxes to record where, when, and how deep you dive. You can record the purpose of the dive, the surface and bottom conditions, and how you got to the dive site. We particularly liked the Diver Information feature, which stores data such as your insurance number and emergency contact. The program can print or save as HTML the complete logbook or a short summary, letting you share your experiences easily. You can even attach photos, although you have to click the View Images button instead of being able to browse the photos directly from the dive record. All the controls and buttons are pretty self-explanatory, but the program also displays a tool tip at the bottom of the window if you're confused. You can't maximize the window, but you don't really need to. From aspiring diver to professional, scuba divers of any level can enjoy Dive Time.

"Overall easy program to use with good features missing some"

Pros: Easy to use interface, drop down boxes and one click to select list. Opening screen allows you to chose the logbook for up to 6 different divers, for a family, one progam is all you need. It has a good statistics tool that shows averages for all categories and number of dives by location, site, buddy. Four great add on conversion tools, not required for the program to run, but nice to have. Good section for certifications and dive gear inventory. Image upload capability allowing you to load picture from that particular dive.

Cons: Though the statistics feature is good, sorting capability is limited and not user changeable. It would be good to have a more detailed sorting feature that allows the user to select the parameters of how they want to sort their dives. Export to Excel would be also useful. The print feature is easy to use, but the output is not in a standard dive logbook format. It would be nice to be able to print logbook style pages to add to a hard copy logbook. A PDA interface would be nice, allowing dvers to enter basic stats, date, depth, time, etc. on a pda in the field, then uploading through hot sync to the desktop program for the final details to be inputed.
