Despite its cluttered interface, Disk Space Recovery Wizard has several ways to help you clean up your drives. The program offers a long list of search criteria for finding junk files, but the interface seems overly crowded and is flooded with hints about how each feature works.

In testing, it was impressively speedy and effective in locating old log, temporary, and other unnecessary files. Disk Space Recovery Wizard also can remove privacy risks such as cookies and temporary Internet files with the click of a button, although these actions are just as easily performed using standard Windows tools.

The program doesn't offer a secure file shredder or clean other areas such as the Recycle Bin, and its tight-fisted, seven-day trial is one of the shortest among the applications in this category. Though this application can help you keep your hard drive clean, it's a bit short on the extras that would make it stand out among the numerous disk cleaners available.
