Discord Times is a mystical RPG-Strategy made in genre of medieval fantasy. Spells, magic, weapons and strategic thinking all come into play in this challenging game, as one Hero tries to reunite the kingdom and fight off hostile feudal lords. You can play as a Knight, a Ranger or an Archmage. Each of these persons has own advantages and drawbacks. You'll have to capture castles and collect taxes from villages to gather money and mana. The acquired experience will help you to upgrade your militiamen to be real knights. Besides this you'll meet many exciting and enigmatic riddles on your way. The game stand out with its strategy component (in fact, it's a well-balanced mix of RPG, strategy and adventure) and heavy combat load - big part of playtime is devoted to battling enemies.
This is a keep the sword in the hand kind of game, when a brawl happens at the least expected time. Version 1.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Pros: Difficulty of this game is its major plus point. You have to walk a narrow line so to speak to be able to complete the quests. Many times I had to restart a mission from scratch because of the mistakes I made. I played this game for 1,5 months and I went through all the missions and in each mission I played for each character (with the exception of the Trein's Issue - there you have to be a knight). Once you know how to play this game, it becomes relatively easy. But in the beginning it was very hard - in the War in Ramen Kingdom I couldn't get through the beginning for a week.
Very often what happens is when you waste your time, computer will send you an enemy that would be impossible to destroy. So be aware that many quests have a time limit. For example, in Trein's Issue if you focus too much on the local neighbour lords, the Undead Armies will escape from the gate and then you wouldn't be able to finish the mission.
My friend played a Russian version of this game and it has one more mission! I think it's called a "Scary Fairtale" or something like this. He said he could hire there a ghost! Damn, I want this scenario too!!!
Those who complain about money - money is not really won by going to villages, it's won in battles most of the time. Sometimes you can hire a "free" character - meaning you won't have to pay him daily, maybe only initially. Use and develop those...
Cons: It's hard to find anything I don't like, I wish there would be more missions included. And also, it's addictive, played through several nights...

"Impossibly hard, poor gameplay"
Pros: Looks great, sounds good, concept is very nice. Lots of details to get into.
Cons: I'm a veteran gamer - hell, I used to write them professionally - and this game is impossible to win. There are a number of annoying features, but basically it comes down to cash flow not equaling expenses. Raising an army costs hundreds of gold, but you'll only get 50 or so a day. There's no random mobs to hunt, no way to earn money, and you'll get quests thrust upon you that mean taking out defended castles with guys 3 levels above your own. Don't do the quest? You will generally die anyway. Fuuuuuun. This is so not worth $20.

Pros: Easy to get to the know the game although it still remains challenging. A simple idea that works really well to ensure hours of enkoyable gameplay
Cons: Having to constantly go back to viallges to obtain gold is a minor irritation but this doesn't affect the overall greatness of the game
