DigiSecret is an easy-to-use, secure, and powerful application for file encryption and sharing. It utilizes strong and time-proven encryption algorithms for creating encrypted archives and self-extracting EXE files, and for sharing files with your associates and friends. DigiSecret also includes powerful and intelligent file compression; you no longer need ZIP files when you can have encrypted and compressed DigiSecret files. The program integrates with the Windows shell, and you can perform operations on files by right-clicking them. It also fully supports drag-and-drop operations.

DigiSecret makes the process of working with files and archives simple. Its intuitive interface allows you to create or read secure archives in a matter of seconds. You can add or delete entire folders or individual files to and from your archives and modify them, or manage multiple archives. Version 2.1 Build 431 added Windows Vista support.

If you need to encrypt and compress a large number of files, DigiSecret makes the work easy. The interface resembles WinZip's, but the way you work with it is substantially different. You can drag and drop files into the interface, then press the Save button to create an archive.

DigiSecret gives you some compression options to set, letting you choose from minimum (no compression and fast) to maximum (considerable compression but slow). The default setting creates a DGS-format-encrypted archive, but the program can also create self-extracting EXE archives for sending to colleagues.

Its buttons and menus are easy to access and navigate. One impressive cosmetic feature is that the program lets you configure font size and the style of interface elements. Given DigiSecret's full set of features and easy-to-use interface, we recommend this download.

"Crashed during test ing on Vista"

Pros: Install and uninstall very easy. Interface simple and intuitive. Very fast when not compressing (all that I tested).

Cons: (major) Crashed (Vista Business on ThinkPad T43, fresh install of Vista, no compression, Blowfish 4xx-bit compression) when doing simply add of a file already in archive. (medium) Doesn't work well for MY needs, which is to Persona data folder (which contains multiple levels of folders), then selectively extract file(s), change them, then add back to archive, over-writing existing file(s).
