New in this release: The F1 - F12 button assignments have been removed. These can now be programmed (as well as many other keys) using the new 'Keystroke' button assignment.

Logitech MouseWare succeeds in giving you more control over your mouse's functioning. The program's dismal interface uses a device setup wizard to walk you through the configuration process. Although one button must retain click and select properties, you can configure the left and right mouse buttons as well as the scroll button. They may be set to cut, copy, or paste, launch Windows Explorer, perform a Windows Search, switch between windows, and more. You'll be able to change your mouse properties, including the pointer's appearance and cursor speed.
Logitech MouseWare's tabbed interface is old-fashioned, yet it gives several user-definable options to suit your tastes. The program works great, but you'll want to test out different button modifications to figure out what's most comfortable for you. All in all, this free software is certain to give your mouse a little individuality.
