Editor's review of Delicious Internet Explorer extension

We were looking forward to testing this IE bookmark manager, which promises to keep you in close contact with your Delicious account, but it didn't quite live up to our expectations.

Delicious Internet Explorer extension introduces a toolbar and a sidebar to your IE window. The toolbar has a drop-down menu for managing your bookmark view and for signing into your Delicious account. The sidebar features two windows: one for tags and the other for the individual bookmarks within the tags. We had to play around with the plug-in and our Delicious account before getting everything to work. When we tagged items, they didn't immediately show up in the sidebar, although they did show up in our account. We had to close and reopen IE to make them appear. Another frustration was that you could resize the sidebar, but clicking on a tagged link took it back to its original size. You can opt to close the sidebar using a button on the toolbar, which is a good thing since our browser window got crowded pretty fast.

There's some trial and error involved with figuring out this plug-in, and we wouldn't call it a must-have item for Delicious account holders, but it costs nothing and offers a few handy features for any fan of the bookmarking tool.
