- "Mozilla's mini mobile browser"
As a mini Mozilla, Minimo enters the fray of mobile browsers, filling the Firefox-shaped hole made sharper by the presence of cell-phone-size competitors vying for mobile browsing authority--Pocket IE, Opera Mini, and Yahoo Go. We found that on our PDA, Minimo is a strong candidate with decent browsing speeds, a modest but useful palette of preferences, and a slight twist on the tabbed browsing interface. For one, the browsing toolbar resides on the bottom of the screen and includes mobile-specific buttons for showing and hiding the address bar, increasing text size, and panning around the screen. Instead of navigating away from the home page--a portal with Google search and links to popular pages optimized for mobile viewing--Minimo anchors it as the first tab by default.
Minimo's cool blue-and-green color scheme isn't as cheery as that of some competitors, and there's room for more features, like entering a URL through the control panel as well as the "@" button. Despite that, Mozilla's minibrowser debut is a respectable one, and its appeal to open source to XML and JavaScript tinkerers interested in customizing the app will win it staunch supporters. Read a hands-on account of Minimo in the Daily Download.

"Tabbed browsing advantage over IE"
Pros: Tabbed browsing is the only advantage over default IE browser.
Cons: The EXE install does not work. It installs but will not run. I downloaded the .CAB version from mozzila.org and installed it to make it run. Slow to start and open pages. CSS sites are worse than IE. Definitely needs improvement.

Version: Minimo 0.2
Pros: Minimo helps me to cut my budget in using internet connection, faster than Internet Explorer. It works look like desktop mozilla. I can open my yahoo mail, download the very useful software from the web browser very fast surely. But I don't know resume available or not during download interrupted.

"Tabs are nice, but painfully slow."
Pros: It's not IE. Tabs are nice. Seemed to have good page compatability.
Cons: Slow to start up, slow to load pages. Avoiding MS and enjoying tabs isn't worth waiting all day to read the web.

Version: Minimo 0.2
Pros: The tabbed browsing is an admirable idea, but new tabs would mysteriously open when I didn't want them to. I look forward to trying improved versions.
Cons: Installed it on a Windows Mobile 6 HTC 6800. The handheld's hardware keyboard would not work with the program. The software keyboard was impossible to manage ... would not consistently open and close.
