  Cygnus Hex Editor Free Edition

  Excellent Program

  Pros: This is exactly what I needed. I needed the ability to view and edit a file's character set including non-printable characters. It works great, it's completely stable, and has all the features I could ever need, plus some.

  Full featured stable and free

  Pros: A multi-file free hex editor that works. Includes printing and multilevel undo, and lots more.

  Cons: If you want tabs, you'll need to buy the commercial version.
