"bluray dvds play at 1/2 frame/sec"
Pros: None, it can only play normal dvds, but I can already do that with free players like VLC
Cons: Does NOT play bluray dvds on my fairly mainstream computer. I have a sony bluray drive so it's not like it's some weird manufacturer. A 1 yr old dell PC and a good Nvidia HDPC blah blah certified, etc etc. The software just doesn't work.
Summary: The only reason I got this is for my bluray drive so I can watch movies. If I wanna watch a normal dvd I'd just use a free player. So I pop in batman begins and first of all, I'm not allowed to watch the bonus content, just the movie itself. To watch... read more

Pros: Ease-'o-use, low memory footprint.
Cons: Company does not pay consumer to use their products.

Pros: PowerDVD is a feature rich DVD player. It has some interesting extras such as the ability to remix a movie by moving around scenes, inserting animated PiPs and adding subtitles or voice-overs. It is also quite stylish looking.
Cons: At US$ 99.95 for the Ultra version (which supports Blu-ray) it isnt cheap but I suppose you get what you pay for as many cheaper alternatives arent as stable or fully featured.
Summary: The porgram also lets you connect to Cyberlink's MoovieLive site where you can get movie facts & figures and rate & review movies. You can also create a personal collection of your movies. This combined with the remix feature mentioned above ... read more
