CyberLink MakeDisc is fully compatible with digital home software PowerCinema and designed for Windows Media Center, enabling the burning of photos, videos, and music to DVDs. MakeDVD also works as a standalone program. CyberLink MakeDVD features a remote control navigation that enables users to select and burn videos to discs directly from the comfort of their own couch; a virtual keyboard that creates disc names via remote control; an easy-to-use UI supporting remote-controlled browsing and file selection; multiple file format support enabling burning of popular video, photo and music files; broad disc format support letting users burn files to a wide range of discs, including DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW; menu templates that give multiple creative options for adding stylish designs to DVD menus; and disc settings allowing users to choose disc format, video quality, regional settings, and output burner.

Version 3 supports Windows Vista, outpout of recorded TV content in original aspect ratio, select data files and burn to disc.
