Version: Cook Timer 0.9.1
Pros: This fine program leaves no footprint whatsover. I almost shyed away because of the "Ch" review. I am using it right now as I type this with full confidence that I am going to get beeped (just did, this moment..hamburger time) when my food is done. Fantastic and free, too?! Very nice work! PS...Somebody's home computer IS/WAS already full of malware..had to be. I checked this with several programs (and you should too) and found absolutely no "mal" at all.

"DON'T DO THIS TO YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Cons: I put this little POC on my work system and liked it so much that I transferred it to my offline (home/personal) computer, (It was FREE "W/O LIMITATIONS" so I assumed it was okay to so this.) and now I'm having all manner of problems when I try to write anything. It writes "--------------------------------" in the middle of my typing - - AND EVEN ON IT'S OWN WHEN I'M NOWHERE NEAR MY KEYBOARD. It interferes with all my attempts to input anything EVEN AFTER I REMOVED IT, IT's (apparently) malicious code is STILL THERE and I am at my wits end. This has done something DRASTIC to my computer that I have no clue how to fix or control. I TRUSTED CNet to investigate fo thses kinds of pranks and problems! I think this is malicious and that CNet needs to investigate this. NOW.

Pros: I have been looking for a timer like this when I dye my hair. It works great. I would recommend this. Can't beat the price tag for a good program.

"Works as desired, but doesn't seem to minimize..."
Pros: I've wanted something like this for a long time, so am very happy to found this.
Cons: It works as desired, so far, but doesn't seem to minimize (closes instead). It does seem to run in the background OK if I just go on to other applications.
