Convert XLS is a simple to use, yet sophisticated Excel, CSV, and text file conversion/manipulation utility (Excel not required for conversions). If you need to convert one or thousands of files, located in one or many different folders, into a variety of different file types this is the tool. Or if you need to manipulate Excel, Convert XLS comes with numerous specialized processes including: Copy Specific Sheet Data from one worksheet to another within the same or a different workbook; Append/Concatenate specified data of a named sheet from a whole folder of workbooks to a single sheet. Copy an entire worksheet (including formatting) to the same or different workbook, and specify location within the workbook. Delete a single or range of sheets; Add a new sheet and specify where to place the new sheet; Move a sheet to a specific place within a workbook; Rename a sheet. In addition to the worksheet manipulation, many other special processes for messaging text files have been included.

Version 3.33 added new special process for Batch printing Excel files.

  Version: Convert XLS 3.33

  "Don't waste your time"

  Pros: None that I could find

  Cons: To put it simply - the software does not work.

  The first time I launched the software (immediately after installation) it informed me that my trial expired and would I like to extend the trial period. How does a trial expire before it even started is beyond me, but I went on the publisher's website and obtained an "extension" number. It is not clear why the publisher choses to waste users' time like that, but this was the least of the software's problems.

  Having started the "extended" trial period, I followed the instructions to convert one excel file to xml. When I opened the resulting file it was still in excel format and appeared to have been combined with another document which was in the same folder. I tried again, with a different file, but with the same result.

  I even tried to put the file to be converted into a separate folder in an attempt to avoid whatever was confusing the software. The result was still a badly garbled excel file.

  I can't believe that the publisher wants to charge $500 for this trash!
