CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor is a solid choice for any beginner dabbling in Web design. For one, the program is freeware, which removes a serious barrier for those curious about Web design but wary about throwing down a lot of cash.

Though this program lacks the variety of features and functionality of the commercial version of CoffeeCup's HTML editor, it can create fairly neat and functional personal Web pages. The program comes complete with a set of layout templates to help speed up project development.

During testing, we were surprised and pleased to learn the editor also allows access to page code for those eager to learn HTML. If that's not of interest, the WYSIWYG editor is well-designed and easy to use, with drag-and-drop functionality. For beginning Web design, this is a great tool.

"Lies!"

Pros: I like the look, but it is 100% NOT FREE!!!
Don't fall for programs that claim their free, but they are not.

Cons: I wasted half my time downloading and installing this and it's not free!!!!!

"It's easy to use, but it is not free..."

Pros: The interface on this software is user-friendly. It has most features that a medium-beginner may need to design a web site.

Cons: It is not as powerful as other popular software and this version is free but you won't be able to do customized pages using WYSIWYG.

Pros: It is a really good program.

Cons: The review says FREE and no limitations. It has limitations, the visual editor it disabled.

"Its not free, if you don't know HTML!"

Pros: I dont see any.

Cons: The visual editor has been disabled in this editor, so unless you know hardcore html coding, then this software is of no use to you. I uninstalled in less than 5 minutes after installing this damn thing. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
