Publisher's description of System Optimizer X

System Optimizer X can speed up your system and Internet, prioritize applications, save RAM, and improve system/application stability. System Optimization will improve your system's speed and responsiveness and includes live feedback and a real-time progress bar. Internet Connection Optimization has nine presets, or you can adjust things yourself. With SOX you can manually run system Cron maintenance scripts and clean system/application cache to improve stability. Use Application Prioritizing to make sure what you want comes first. Use the Schedule to run maintenance scripts and/or clean cache weekly, monthly, or bimonthly.

The schedule can be used to automatically run taskes at weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and bi-monthly intervals. Version 4.6 adds the ability to select a specific time of day to execute the selected tasks.

  easy to install and improved performance

  Pros: New to the Apple OS, I'm not that adept at Unix terminal commands so having this software take care of these issues was a great help. Applications are solid and speed is improved.

  Cons: don't see any downside to using this at all but I don't keep any critical files anyway that I might lose if application was overzealous

  Pros: IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM !

  MY MAC G3 B/W WAS AT A SNAILSPACE AND THE APPLE WEB PAGE (SAFARI) WOULDN'T BRING UP PICTURES. THIS MADE IT FASTER AND APPLE FINNALY HAS PICTURES !

  Cons: SO FAR CAN'T FIND ANY CONS ! BUT I JUST DOWNLOADED IT AND RAN IT.
