This word game lacks polished graphics or fancy features, but it is totally free and quite challenging. In Classic WordZap you must form seven words using eight different letters before the computer does. If you beat your opponent, your handicap level decreases, though you can manually make the game harder as well. However, we d suggest starting at the beginner level, as the game forms words very quickly on the upper levels. To make things even more difficult, a word will disappear from your pile if the computer thinks of the same one. Once you ve mastered this game variation, try the other, which turns up the heat by placing rules on the order in which you can select letters. The game doesn t have any sound effects and looks somewhat primitive, but that doesn t really detract from the fun. Best of all, Classic WordZap doesn t cost a cent, so we can definitely recommend it to word nerds and those seeking a vocabulary-building tool.

Construct seven words from the letters provided.
Classic WordZap is a new and remastered version of the popular Windows word game from Microsoft Entertainment Pack III. This is the 10th anniversary of the invention of WordZap, during which time it has sold more than 1,300,000 copies. The object of Classic WordZap, as always, is to be the first to make seven unique words from the given array of letters. Words found by both you and the computer zap each other and no longer count. The remastered version has an improved word list and a free WordZap Bonus Pack with new features such as sound, improved colors, and new game options. Feedback to date suggests the Freeware game is even more compelling and addictive than the original.
