Cheetah CD Burner provides an interface for burning audio and data CDs. It also includes the ability to burn and make ISO files. Enhanced features include shortcuts to your favorite folders, as well as different file-view settings such as thumbnails for viewing photos. You can burn CD-R and CD-RW discs, burn audio CDs (WAV, MP3, MP2, AVI, OGG, and WMA), burn data CDs and ISO images, create ISO images, erase CD-RW discs, rip audio from music CDs, retrieve album information from audio CDs, copy data CDs, copy audio CDs, and automatically verify data.

Version 3.43 adds new Toolbars, Progress Bars, Buttons, Images, and basically overhauls the user interface for improved support of Windows XP user interface styles.

Version 3.44 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

• "Fast and affordable"

Despite a somewhat counterintuitive design, this program makes a capable CD burner. When we first launched Cheetah CD Burner, we were surprised to find the pane for exploring our PC on the right and the contents of the new CD on the left. We're used to seeing such programs arranged the other way around.

The application can burn data and audio CDs at speeds of up to 40x, and we appreciate having the option to add files to a project by simply right-clicking them. You also can make a boot disc or copy an entire CD. Clicking the Settings tab lets you finalize your disc and use buffer control. The CD ripper encodes files in both MP3 and WAV formats and can access an online database for track and album information. The program also has tools for extracting audio from AVI video clips and converting audio files among such popular formats as MP3, WMA, and OGG.

The Cheetah Web site currently has a deal offering the app for free, if you post a link back to their Web site. All things considered, we think Cheetah CD Burner makes a fine choice.

  Pros: I have tried numerous other programs to which have failed miserably. This program is easy to use and works everytime!!

  "Cheetah burning software is a must have for all media guru's!"

  Pros: Simplicity, who ever know that burn could be this easy! Just drap drop and burn. Reliablity is a key factor. So many times I am in a burn cutch and the burn goes to windows errors and to pay the sky rocket cost of other burner apps -- for get IT!!! For the cheetah DVD does it all!!!

  Pros: It's fast and user-friendly. When it comes to burning software, my needs are few and simple. I need it to burn audio and data cds quickly without a hassle, and Cheetah does that. Highly reccomended!

  Version: Cheetah CD Burner 3.44

  "fantastic"

  Pros: Just as good as there DVD burner but if you have dvd burner you dont need CD burner. Easy to use, but still allowing for control. CDs burnt worked on everything I have tried, great interface and very fast.

  Cons: dont fix something that is not broke and this program works so there is no CONs.
