Publisher's description of Chaos League
From Focus:Chaos League is a new kind of game, combining real-time-strategy, RPG, and sports elements. In a fantasy heroic universe, Chaos League offers new gameplay possibilities. Don't look for notions of fair play or the command Help opponent back on his feet, because they don't exist in this game. However, if you ve been longing to find a sports game with moves like Stamp, High Facial Kick, Holding on the Ground, Force Passage, or Ball of Fire,"" then at last you've found the game of your dreams.

Endlessly turning left at Daytona grows stale after a few decades, so before we even played a single game of Chaos League, we were biased in its favor. This unique new strategy sports game plays like a cross between rugby and a real-time fighter.
Nine players on each side strive to carry the golden ball across the goal line for a touchdown. It sounds simple, but after the ceremonial pig brings out the ball on his back, anything goes. With special fighting moves, spells, spectator participation, and 10 races with up to seven different types of players each, you'll quickly see the huge variety of strategies you can employ.
The demo lets you play two races from the game, the Barbarians and the Undead, on four head-to-head skirmish maps. A series of tutorials explain the complex and involved gameplay. The demo's amusing in-game commentary is only in French, but menus and tutorials are available in English. The tutorial offers a free-play mode for practicing your skills, as well as a replay mode that demonstrates the game variations. The gameplay might be more complicated than rookies can handle, but those willing to invest the time should find Chaos League great fun.

Version: Chaos League 0.13
"Hilarious, unique and great fun"
Pros: Just as much as Tetris was a revolution due to the new idea of gameplay the game is also best in class because there is no other game in this class.
The idea of combining sports and fantasy is not new, but the rules of this game are different than anything else I have seen this far.
You can not win by playing good football, but you can't win by ruthless massacres either.
The game is stable. It takes a time to understand (do the tutorials) but then it allows endless gameplaying fun. Did I say endless? Yes. You can play as many test matches as you want. In career mode, the demo end after 3 matches, though.
Cons: The only con I can think of is the quality of the graphics ... and I only put this in the cons, because it is the only element where I can see future improvements, though it is very good indeed.

Version: Chaos League 0.13
Summary: This game is just hours of pure fun - the idea of a fantasy football league is a ripoff of an old classic game, Bloodbowl from Games Workshop... But the game manages to pick up that tradition and bring in some great enhancements. Thumbs up!
