In spite of its uninspired design, this program makes an acceptable way to learn Pai Gow poker or to hone your existing skills. When you fire up Casino Verite Pai Gow Poker, you'll see an overhead view of the poker table, where you're playing with five other computerized opponents. The graphics look basic and rudimentary, although the sound effects are a bit more realistic. If you don't already know how to play Pai Gow, you'll appreciate the in-depth help files. And if you're already familiar with the game, you still can get hints from the computer and track your statistics in several ways. Although you can't really alter the game's appearance, you can change your bankroll, maximum bet, and the speed at which the game is played. You also can make a number of technical tweaks to the rules. The demo removes all the five cards from the deck, yet this doesn't get in the way of the fun and won't hinder the learning process. It's not much to look at, but anyone interested in Pai Gow will likely have some fun with this application
