Publisher's description of CCRP High Performance Timer Objects
From Common Controls Replacement Project: CCRP High Performance Timer Objects is an ActiveX library of high-resolution multimedia timer, countdown, and stopwatch objects. It provides developers with a standard 'event' interface, as well as the ability to implement a secondary interface for nonblocking notifications. High Performance Timer Objects supports resolution/frequency of one millisecond on capable hardware and can be used as a replacement for Visual Basic's standard Timer control without requiring that the control be placed on a form.
